This incredibly simple yet rich and creamy dessert will having you coming back for more. Feel free to experiment with different varieties of ice cream, such as coffee or plain vanilla and amaretto or Bicerin liqueur.

How to make

Brew a pot of espresso.
Place 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream into 2 large mugsPour 1 tablespoon of Kahlua liqueur into each mug. Pour 1 shot approximately 1 ounce or more if you really like coffee of hot espresso into each mug. Sprinkle the chopped chocolate covered coffee beans over ice cream with espresso. You can brew the espresso in advance and keep it warm. I usually use 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream but feel free to add more! You can also use variations of vanilla ice cream or coffee flavored ice cream. This recipe is easy to make and delicious! Kahlua liqueur is a coffee flavored liqueur which contains rum, sugar and 100% arabica coffee. Chopped coffee flavored coffee beans is my own special addition to this recipe which adds a little crunch to this creamy dessert.

  • 1 pint of vanilla bean ice cream

  • 2 shots of brewed espresso 

  • 2 tablespoons of Kahlua

  • chopped chocolate covered coffee beans
